2025 Alabama CTE Summer Professional Development Conference

APLDS Clock Hour credit counts toward the 2025-26 School Year

Description:

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2025 State Department of Education’s CTE Summer Professional Development Conference. This year’s conference is July 23-25, 2025, in-person at the Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, AL.  This event provides attendees with valuable opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions, participate in in-depth training sessions, and learn from leading experts in the field of Career and Technical Education for a dynamic start to the 2025–2026 academic year.

APLDS Clock Hour Requirements:

Principals and assistant principals must:

  1. REGISTER through the conference link: Click here 

  2. REGISTER in PowerSchool PL no later than August 1, 2025Click here

  3. SCAN IN at each APLDS-designated session as outlined below for each session attended.

For APLDS Clock Hour credit, participants must complete the following sessions:

  • Keynote Address as presented by Dan Hinderliter, Associate Director, for Advance CTE

  • Session 1: A Strategic Approach to Change and Creating Teams Filled with Leaders Worth Following

  • Session 2: Supporting CTE: The Educator Learning Center and Research Center

  • Session 3: Regional CLNA: How Region 2 Piloted a New Approach to the CLNA Process

  • Session 4: Supporting Specialized Student Populations in CTE

  • Session 5: Strategic Roundtable Discussions for the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment

  • Session 6: Empowering Futures for Special Populations through Intentional Wraparound CTE Supports

  • Session 7 & 8: Attend two session of your choosing

APLDS Clock Hours: up to 15 (based on session attendance records)
