Description:
As product-based school safety solutions continue to expand, growing dependence on mechanical systems and technology can unintentionally increase the risk of human complacency, especially when trainings, interventions, and protocols are inconsistent. Effective school safety ultimately depends on well-trained personnel who recognize concerning behaviors or potential threats, who understand emergency procedures, and can carry them out reliably. School safety is holistic and comprehensive. As a school leader, safety should meet the rigorous standards we are held to in academics. Through collaboration with our partners, Behavior Threat Assessments and Management, communication, emergency preparedness, and best safety practices are crucial in school safety.
