This regionally facilitated session provides CTE administrators with a research-informed framework for understanding and addressing student performance through data-driven decision-making.

ANA Day for administrators of Year 1 math coaches is designed to build a strong foundation for effectively supporting a first-year, state-funded coach. This session aligns administrators to the expectations, structures, and tools that guide impactful coaching under the Alabama Numeracy Act.

This 90-minute session provides administrators with a focused overview of how to effectively support a state-funded math coach in Year 2 and beyond under the Alabama Numeracy Act.

During the session, administrators will:

Build awareness of the new 2026 Alabama Coaching Framework and its connection to the Evidence-Based Coaching Accountability System (EBCAS)

Make connections between the 20 Coach Duties and Responsibilities and Standard 2: Instructional Leadership and Standard 3: Managerial and Operational Leadership within the Alabama Principal Leadership Development System (APLDS) Framework

Review the coaching data platform and how to use it to guide weekly conversations, monitor progress, and align coaching to instructional and student needs

Administrators will leave with clear next steps to effectively partner with and support their math coaches. 

These sessions support school leaders in establishing structures for shared leadership, accountability, and continuous learning for both students and adults. Administrators will focus on partnering with coaches and teacher teams to develop a guaranteed and viable curriculum through intentional unit planning and effective PLC practices

The 2026 Alabama Department of Education CTE Summer Professional Development Conference will be held July 29-31, 2026, at the Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, AL. The conference offers engaging discussions, in-depth training, and expert-led sessions to support a strong start to the 2026-2027 academic year.

Enhancing ESL Success with Administrator Support is a practical session designed to equip school and district leaders with the knowledge, tools, and mindsets needed to strengthen outcomes for English Learners across Alabama. This presentation highlights the critical role administrators play in shaping equitable systems, ensuring instructional alignment, and fostering a culture where multilingual learners thrive.

This professional learning course equips educators, administrators, and school data teams with the skills to leverage PowerSchool Analytics and Insights to identify, track, and address chronic absenteeism and truancy. Participants will be introduced to navigating PowerSchool's data tools, analyzing key attendance metrics, and implementing evidence-based interventions to support student attendance.

This event is only open to current A+ College Ready program schools cohorts 17, 18, and 19. A+ College Ready's Leadership Institute will empower school leaders to lead their schools/districts to raise academic expectations and achievement for ALL students through their personal and organizational commitment to excellence.
