Description:
The ALA-CASE Spring Conference, themed “Supports and Strategies to Increase Opportunities to Respond to All Learners,” provides administrators with practical strategies and legal guidance to support students with disabilities. Tentative topics include leadership development, assistive technology for access and independence, ALSDE updates, recruitment and retention strategies, and writing high-quality IEP goals. Sessions will also address effective communication with families, supporting paraprofessionals and service providers, eligibility for emotional disturbance, services for students with significant cognitive disabilities, transition planning, disproportionality in identification, intensive intervention, and data-driven decision-making. This conference equips leaders with the tools and knowledge needed to improve outcomes for all learners while ensuring compliance and best practices in special education.
