Teacher clarity is dependent upon "leader clarity", and through the research of Hattie, Fisher and Frey, and John Almarode, we explore the effects on achievement, growth, and climate that a principal and assistant principal will have on their respective schools and districts.

Participants will engage in analysis, discussion, and reflection on key elements of effective teamwork, including commitment and avoidance, effective feedback, accountability for results, and the 7 C’s of teamwork. Through these activities, participants will evaluate current team practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to strengthen collaboration, staff effectiveness, and student success.

This professional learning experience prepares participants to strengthen school safety through the application of current laws, behavioral threat assessment practices, and the Alabama Integrated Model for Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (AIM-BTAM). Participants develop skills in threat assessment, emergency response, mental health awareness, and family and community engagement, culminating in a simulated event to apply their learning.

Participants will learn to analyze school report card data through an instructional lens, establish focused instructional goals, and engage in meaningful one-on-one district data meetings with clarity and intention. Leaders will leave with practical strategies, resources, and tools to create aligned systems that strengthen teaching, learning, and student achievement.
