In his trademark communication style, Maxwell teaches the principles and practices of high-road leadership that can increase anyone's influence and help them make their world a better place. Throughout this study and application, educational leaders will be challenged to examine their own practices, develop a plan for accountability and growth, and become a part of transforming their environments into healthy and thriving places that exemplify life on the high road. Participants in the study will journey through John C. Maxwell's book, High Road Leadership, while building supportive relationships with other administrators and leaders in the region through accountability partnerships. The University of Alabama/University of West Alabama In-Service Center will be the initial host site, but this study could be offered in another region or a school district using the same format.

This professional learning course equips educators, administrators, and school data teams with the skills to leverage PowerSchool Analytics and Insights for identifying, tracking, and addressing chronic absenteeism and truancy. Participants will gain hands-on experience in navigating PowerSchool's data tools, analyzing key attendance metrics, and implementing evidence-based interventions to support student attendance.

This 3-part series offers 4th-12th administrators a research-based roadmap for transforming writing instruction using The Writing Revolution 2.0 (Hochman & Wexler, 2025). Participants will learn more about how to teach writing through a set of discrete, manageable skills that are embedded into explicit writing instruction.
